NFS is not as bad as it sounds. I have no problem saturating 1Gbit/s
ethernet connection with NFS as a storage for Bacula SD. Additionally when
using Bacula Enterprise Aligned Volumes format it is the only connection I
can use with external hardware deduplication storage.
This kind of setup is working without problems at some customers around the
world.
