I have been having a rough time over the last year with this bacula installation, hopefully someone can show me the noob failures I've made thus far... My setup is rather basic, a single director which mounts remote filesystems and backs up ~40TB/week with a single file/storage daemon. I recently added an additional autochanger to the mix, to speed up write times and prevent deadlocks on writers when running quarterly restores. My problem... bacula confuses the tape slots between the changers, in changer A tape is in expected pool, but bacula will request the tape be mounted from the same numbered slot in changer B, where the tape is not. I use two Quantum devices, a SuperLoader3/LTO5 and a Scalari40/LTO5.
