Even more info is needed... db backend used, Number of files in backup job, clientfilesystem type & memory config, bacula director hardware etc.
Cheers, Uwe I'm not sure on the DB backend, I'm a bit of a newbie with this stuff. The number of files being backed up looks to be about 82k, total bytes is about 19.71 gb. The client is running Ubuntu 12.04, it has, I think, 4mb of memory and a pretty decent CPU. Bacula Director is about the same. I removed the Gzip compression and it didn't really do much. So I'm assuming it's a network issue, but like I said, I'm a newbie. Here is my log for my last backup attempt, if it helps. 29-Nov 03:05 home-server-dir JobId 156: Start Backup JobId 156, Job=RemoteOfficeBackup.2013-11-29_03.05.00_47 29-Nov 03:05 home-server-dir JobId 156: Using Device "FileStorage" 29-Nov 03:05 ubuntu-fd JobId 156: DIR and FD clocks differ by 5 seconds, FD automatically compensating. 29-Nov 03:05 home-server-sd JobId 156: Volume "Remote-0005" previously written, moving to end of data. 29-Nov 03:05 home-server-sd JobId 156: Ready to append to end of Volume "Remote-0005" size=141809315195 29-Nov 03:05 ubuntu-fd JobId 156: /boot is a different filesystem.
