Hi, I have installed Bacula 5.0.2 on Debian 6.0.3 using the packages, I did not compile and install Bacula from source code. When going through the tutorial in the documentation, I keep getting an error upon run, this is the message I get: 15-Mär 21:33 mail-dir JobId 8: No prior Full backup Job record found. 15-Mär 21:33 mail-dir JobId 8: No prior or suitable Full backup found in catalog. Doing FULL backup. 15-Mär 21:33 mail-dir JobId 8: Start Backup JobId 8, Job=Backupmail.2013-03-15_21.33.23_09 15-Mär 21:33 mail-sd JobId 8: Fatal error: Device reservation failed for JobId=8: 15-Mär 21:33 mail-dir JobId 8: Fatal error: Storage daemon didn't accept Device "/tmp" because: 3924 Device "/tmp" not in SD Device resources. 15-Mär 21:33 mail-dir JobId 8: Error: Bacula mail-dir 5.0.2 (28Apr10): 15-Mär-2013 21:33:25 Build OS: i486-pc-linux-gnu debian 6.0.3 JobId: 8 Job: Backupmail.2013-03-15_21.33.23_09 Backup Level: Full (upgraded from Incremental) Client: "mail-fd" FileSet: "Full Set" 2013-03-12 23:05:00 Pool: "File" (From Job resource) Catalog: "MyCatalog" (From Client resource) Storage: "File" (From Job resource) Scheduled time: 15-Mär-2013 21:33:21 Start time: 15-Mär-2013 21:33:25 End time: 15-Mär-2013 21:33:25 Elapsed time: 0 secs Priority: 10 FD Files Written: 0 SD Files Written: 0 FD Bytes Written: 0 (0 B) SD Bytes Written: 0 (0 B) Rate: 0.0 KB/s Software Compression: None VSS: no Encryption: no Accurate: no Volume name(s): Volume Session Id: 2 Volume Session Time: 1363379424 Last Volume Bytes: 0 (0 B) Non-fatal FD errors: 0 SD Errors: 0 FD termination status: SD termination status: Termination: *** Backup Error ***
Unfortunately, as I am in the process of learning how bacula works, It is quite difficult to understand what is causing this error. Would be great if someone could give me a hint.
