And it is not entered in the honstname-fd.conf file. I am having a brain fart atm and can not remember where I entered/how I told the windows client FD what password it uses to talk to the bacula-director.
In all my working windows client hostname-fd.conf files the password line is; Password = @client-password@ and they all work and have been doing so for months. Well apart from the one that tinkled it's hard disk, which started this build and configuration of the problem child. The FAQ is not helpful. both host with DIR & SD pings the client and the client can ping the DIR/SD host. the client also mounts filesystems off the DIR/SD host okay, so I am discounting any network problems. Job error messages say unable to authenticate and mention passwords (hence this message) or names not the same (dirty glasses error?) or concurrent jobs which isn't the problem (only run one at a time. cluebies.
