Well, it turns out there was an issue with the bacula-dir.conf as stated.
It works fine and btape can mostly control the drive, except for every time
I try to run a backup job to the tape, I get the following error:
Cannot find any appendable volumes.
Please use the "label" command to create a new Volume for:

I have used both ./bconsole and ./btape to 'label' the tape. Each time I
label it, it says it was successful. I have tried to rewind the tape, move
the tape to the end of the medium, everything I can think of, and it keeps
giving that same error. What am I missing here?

Thanks.

jobs

1st your conf files shouldn't be in /usr/local/bacula/bin

2nd your bacula-sd.conf may be fine it's the bacula-dir.conf file that
you need to look at.
