To Who It May Concern,
I've recently hit a problem that I thought shouldn't be happening. I
have two autochangers with media existing in two common pools. At HQ
our directory is trying to issue load commands to our library to load
tapes, tapes which only exist offsite in the other, identical, library.
The output error is very weird when our library is asked to load a
tape that isn't there. Now, I don't _see_ a facility in which it knows
where the tapes are beyond that they are 'inchanger.' I hope I am
missing something rather simple because I've contemplated creating
independent pools at each location to work around this problem, but I do
not particularly want to micromanage twice the amount of pools. per
autochanger. If anyone has setup anything similar or might know
something about this behaviour I would be grateful to hear it.
