What version of Ubuntu? 2.6.8 looks like the kernel version. cat /etc/issue Will tell you. I'm guessing Ubuntu 6.06. There is a problem with the bacula with this version of Ubuntu which means that bscan is missed out. There are various solutions including compiling your own bscan.
