It looks like the same symptoms are present in the regression suite, which
should help in verifying and tracking down the problem.  I've added a note to
the ticket you opened (#944) with this info, plus the results of a little more
digging.

Hopefully this will be enough that one of the developers will be able to find
a fix, but it may be a little while - odds are the developers are going to be
focusing on verifying the bug fix for the critical bug that Kern just announced.
