Ok, this is not something I looked into recently, but as far as I know 
Novell is moving towards linux as the base for the Netware services.

So, when your Netware systems is linux based, you might easily be able 
to use Bacula. Otherwise, you'll have to mount the Netware volumes to 
a Bacula client and back up from there.

Last time I looked, the filesystem metadate could not be sufficiently 
accessed from a remote mount, though.

In both scenarios, you might have to implement a run before job 
command that dumps the metadata to a file which will be included in 
the backup. On restore, you'd first restore the files, then apply the 
metadata dump to the files. Unfortunately, I don't recall which 
command novell uses for this, but I guess your Netware admins will 
know what to do...

There are some users of Bacula which work in Netware environments, but 
I'm not sure they are actively reading the list (now). Looking through 
the archives, you might find some of them and ask how they use Bacula 
for Netware volumes.
