Well if 'list media' only showed the 1 volume that's all Bacula knows about. The *unknown* means the Bacula director was unable to work out which volume will be used for those backups *when you ran the command*. In my experience, this generally happens when there are none available for use because they're all full and haven't become eligible for recycling due to their configured retention periods. > And as i understand i can get new tape or purge tape and use from now on ? > is it true ? > > That's what it comes down to yes.
