I think it would be relatively easy to do what you want with existing tools. The current regress script when running "make bacula" creates a directory named <regress>/linux/cdrom/bacula that contains what you would like to backup. Perhaps at some future time, there will be a way to have Bacula automatically do this, but for the moment, I think the best approach is to explicitly create a Job that runs each night, and then using RunScripts (1.39.x) runs the appropriate make bacula and then backs up the proper directory and writes a bootstrap file.
