Well, today I disabled the virus scanner software and voilĂ , the backup
using VSS runs without skipping files due to Access Denied-Errors. I'll
check that with the other workstation tomorrow.

Now, I'd like to get this fixed. So, David, could you try disabling the
virus scaner you use and see what happens? Which antivirus software are
you running?

(Completely unrelated, but I know you're working with IBMs big systems:
How do you set the MTU for a specific interface or route on OS/400? :-)

This request especialy might be interesting for the userlist:

Others, perhaps, might want to help understanding this - you might do so
by checking if you use Windows VSS backups with Bacula (only possible
since 1.38 IIRC), and then installing the trial version of F-Secure
Antivirus (available here:
http://www.f-secure.com/small_businesses/evaluations/ ) and see what
happens. When I've got a number of reports leading to the conclusion
that FSAV and Bacula together have difficulties with VSS Backups, I'll
contact both Torsten and F-Secure so we can have that fixed.

I'll try to set up a F-Secure Antivirus 2007 myself, currently I'm
running the 2006 version.

Thanks for your help,

Arno
