This project has been planned since the very beginning of Bacula.  However, 
the users in their voting have not been very interested in it.  Two years 
ago, this project ended up very close to the last.  Last year it fared better 
ending up as item 5, which considering the magnitude of the projects that 
rated better than it is still pretty low.

I would be happy to see this feature in Bacula if for no other reason than it 
would benefit me much more than most of the projects rated higher.  However, 
the major problem is finding/motivating a programmer to work on this ...
