I'm responding to this late (while catching up on the backlog in my mailbox), because I suspect I have a new OS to contribute to the poll. We run Bacula 1.38.11's director and storage daemon on IRIX-6.5.26f, using postgres-8.1.4 for the catalog. As for file daemons, we have 1 on IRIX-6.5.22f 2 on IRIX-6.5.26f 6 on IRIX-6.5.28f 1 on OpenSuSE 10.1 1 on Mandrake-9.1 (hopefully to become OpenSUSE soon) 12 on Solaris 9 2 on Red Hat AS 4 All are compiled from Bacula 1.38.11 source, except for the OpenSuSE 10.1 machine, which uses SuSE's Bacula 1.38.3 rpm. Compiling the server for IRIX-6.5.22f required some local patches, mainly to work around the IRIX tape device driver's limitations (I cut and pasted pieces of mtx to use the low-level SCSI library to fake the tape file number which IRIX was not providing; in retrospect, I probably should have parsed output from the mtx's scsitape command instead, but I wasn't sure if splitting tape drive control across two separate processes might cause concurrency problems). I keep meaning to clean up the changes for submission to Kern, but there's probably not much call for an IRIX port these days (our motivation was that our jukebox is tied to an Onyx/2, which has the only Legato Networker server license we can afford; I built bacula to give us a second copy of our backups in a format that we will still be able to read when the Onyx/2 dies). ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Using Tomcat but need to do more?
