Dear list,

I recently got a new DLT 160 tape drive. This media is new for me and I
have some problems getting it to work.

I use Debian as my OS and my kernel is :

Linux rivendell 2.6.17-2-k7 #1 SMP Sat Sep 23 20:23:52 UTC 2006 i686
GNU/Linux

It seems that my tape drive is detected :

rivendell:/dev# cat /proc/scsi/scsi
Attached devices:
Host: scsi0 Channel: 00 Id: 05 Lun: 00
Vendor: qUaNtUm Model: dLt vS160 Rev: 2200
Type: Sequential-Access ANSI SCSI revision: 02

(note : this is not typo errors... sounds strange to me.)

In fact I can't find the proper device to use this drive. It is not
/dev/st0 nor /dev/nst0.

I have these lines in my dmesg :

SCSI subsystem initialized
ACPI: PCI Interrupt Link [LNKB] enabled at IRQ 11
PCI: setting IRQ 11 as level-triggered
ACPI: PCI Interrupt 0000:00:0a.0[A] -> Link [LNKB] -> GSI 11 (level,

Is there someone that can help me with this ?

Thanks in advance.
