Hello, Now that version 1.39.x is nearing the end of the development cycle (hopefully to be released in the second half of November), I am starting to think about what I am going to do next. The major projects I have in mind for myself are:
1. Development of a good, complete GUI interface. 2. Major restructuring of the Bacula project to encourage more community participation and ensure its long term survival of the project as Open Source, and adaption to becoming Enterprise software. This will mostly concern developers (more on this later). 3. Performance enhancements to Bacula (particularly in the database area). I'll send separate emails on each of these subjects, starting with #1 today, then #2 within a week or two, and #3 to follow in November or December.
