This looks suspiciously like the same kernel bug that is causing the system crash during my regression testing. In an attempt to do better recovery in 1.39.x I "enhanced", to retry a number of times in 1.39.x. However, doing so causes the crash, so be happy (if you can) that at least your kernel is not crashing. My best guess is that the kernel SCSI driver either cannot get the memory it needs or that it has gotten terribly confused about size of the buffers it needs. The error message you are seeing "Cannot allocate memory" comes from the kernel (probably the SCSI driver). What OS and distro/version are you running? > > -- > John M.
