I'm not sure here, but I suppose Bacula does look for media of the 
correct type. Though I'm sure I had an issue where it didn't :-)

Yes.

The problem is when things go the other way round: You have an LTO3 tape 
in an LTO2 drive. That will defiitely not work as expected, and 
depending on your setup, Bacla might even automatically relabel the tape 
with LTO2 format and thereby destroying your data. No fun, I say.

What Alan requests - allowing multiple media type entries per storage 
device - is definitely the best solution, but not due in short time...
