That is pretty much impossible without a properly formulated Feature Request since I the feature is not yet well defined. Although this concept has been discussed, to the best of my knowledge no Feature Request has been submitted and accepted for it. I think that at some point Bacula *will* be able to automatically delete old volumes, but exactly how, when, and with what directives has never been carefully worked out. In addition, though some people claim it is necessary, I find it a somewhat dangerous concept, and have never personally needed it except on rare occassions when I was testing -- I just let Bacula recycle and reuse my disk files. This comment doesn't imply that some well thought out Feature Request would not be accepted. > > David Wilson > Network Security Engineer > PAETEC Communications, Inc.a > > -----Original Message----- > From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Arno > Lehmann > Sent: Monday, August 28, 2006 3:12 PM > To: bacula-users@lists.sourceforge.net > Subject: Re: [Bacula-users] Automatic Disk Volume Deletion > > Hello, > > On 8/28/2006 5:22 PM, Wilson, David wrote: > > > > > > Greetings, > > > > > > > > I read through the listserv archive and saw that late in 2005 there > was > > talk of implementing automatic disk based volume deletion.
