If you definetely want to build by yourself, maybe you could leave this until (not if!) you've decided to seriously start using Bacula. Propably tomorrow? ;-)
Seriously, I think it's not a good idea to install self-compiled non-rpm binaries, when you don't have to. So, when it's time to build by yourself, maybe you should conseder building a rpm of your own instead? Bacula rpm source package contains everyting you need but a simple rpmbuild command with a couple of options (to define the use of FC4 and mysql4, yes it's ok for FC5 + mysql5 too) -- TiN ------------------------------------------------------- Using Tomcat but need to do more?
