The SD doesn't have permission to use that device. Set up the device node according to your needs, or set up udev or hald or whatever creates the node to set the correct permissions. Or run the SD as root.

Searching the list archive, you should be able to find some more threads concerning these problems, presenting possible workarounds or solutions.
