Hi,

I am trying to do a bare-metal restore to a different type (hard drive layout) then what was backed up. When I create the bootcd.iso and boot the new box from it, I get a kernel panic saying it cannot mount root fs on unknown block(8,2). The cdrom's are both /dev/hda and each box uses scsi drives. I have tried passing the linux root=/dev/hda, etc and that does not seem to work. I probably don't fully understand how to restore to a different box. If some could give some suggestions, I would appreciate it.

Thanks,
