Please help... Im really at a loss here.

I've since tried resetting the Volstatus on my "purged" volumes to
"recycle" which did nothing.

According to the "recycling algorithm" in
http://www.bacula.org/rel-manual/Automatic_Volume_Recycling.html I
think it should be using the tapes but its not.

Attempting to relabel the tapes fails because they are already labeled.
Even after deleting the volume it still sees the label on the the tape
and wont relabel it.

Subject: [Bacula-users] bacula not reusing old tapes in changer

Im using Baclula 1.38.0 running on RHEL 4,
Tape library: Qualstar 4210 (AIT-2).

I have a 12 slot autochanger and everything has worked fine going though
all my tapes once, labeling each at I go, but now I to start recycling
and it doesn't seem to be taking off. The tapes are in the changer and I
ran "update slots scan"; bconsole does show the tapes as "InChanger" and
volume status is "Purged" and Recycle=1 for each of them. I think it
should be using these tapes now, right?

Any ideas why it wont?

It is prompting for a tape, but its asking for a recently used FULL
tape. Which the storage director doesn't want anyway as seen below:
