Ah, yes. I do seem to have jobid and job confused. Thank you so much. This seems to have worked.

cheers,

Hi there,

I have the situation where a job is waiting for a tape so the status says:

157 Full NightlySave.2005-11-12_01.05.01 is waiting for a mount
request

I would like to just cancel this job, since I can't go in at the moment
and put in the correct tape, but this is what happens:

*cancel job=157
Job 157 is not running.

enter:

 cancel

and answer the question if there is one. 157 is a JobId not a Job.

I looked through the archives, and it seems that I am not the only one
who has had this problem, and there does not seem to be a solution. Is
there a plan to create a mechanism for canceling a job that is
scheduled, but not technically running? Also, is there a way for me to
get out of my current predicament? I have tapes for other backups in my
changer, so I would like to just skip this job, and continue with the
rest of my nightly backups and worry about this tape next week.

thanks,
maria
