Morning,

I'm running my device in the storage daemon with these options:

AutomaticMount = yes
AlwaysOpen = yes
VolumePollInterval = 300
OfflineOnUnmount = yes
CloseOnPoll = yes

Now when the director informs me that I need to insert a new tape I
often have a situation that the tape is spit out. I had a database crash
which ruined my catalog so I started from scratch. The tapes still
contain a Bacula label though. So the storage daemon rejects them
instead of giving me a change to relabel them.

I tried "automount off" in the bconsole but that didn't help me either.
Last resort was to set "OfflineOnUnmount = no" in the config and typing
"reload" in the bconsole. Do I need stop Bacula completely and run the
"mt rew && mt weof && mt rew" on each tape just so that Bacula will no
longer eject it before I get a chance to do anything with it?

Regards
 Christoph
