Arno,

20 points to you. It was drivers that caused my problems. Here is the
layout:

OS: Windows XP Pro
Mainboard: Epox EP-9NDA3J
Chipset: NVidia NForce 3

Ethernet Driver Editions with Issues:
4.4.2 17/05/2004

Yep, untold.
The NForce 3's download does not include the latest drivers and
does not seem to be updated.
So as per test, I tried the NForce4's ethernet drivers.

:-)

Drivers that worked:
http://www.nvidia.com/object/nforce_nf4_winxp32_intel_7.13.html

Ethernet revision:
4.8.2.0 06/04/2005

Backup running, me smiling.

Yours Sincerley
