Hello,

I've released the source tar file of Bacula beta version 1.37.17 to Source
Forge. This version has much better Python support, and a few other
improvements, but most importantly, there was a bug introduced during
implementation of 64 bit DBIds that caused File pruning to never prune. This
means that your database would continuously grow until the Job pruning stops
it. This is not really too serious, but does waste disk space.

I urge anyone who is using Bacula 1.37.16 from Source Forge or who is running
from CVS code to upgrade to version 1.37.17 or to the latest CVS. Once this
version is running, it will prune any old accumulated records, however,
depending on which SQL server you are using, it may or may not actually
shrink the database. To shrink it, you should export it to an ASCII file,
make a copy of the binary file, then re-import the ASCII file. When you are
sure it is OK, you can delete the old copy of the binary file.

Sorry for any inconvenience ...

Kern
