I have two DAT-72 tape drives on two different machines that
I am controlling from one bacula director
installation. I’m using a ‘vanilla’
configuration for each: Device { Name =
DAT72-1
# Media Type =
DDS-4 Archive Device
= /dev/nst0 AutomaticMount = yes;
# when device opened, read it AlwaysOpen = yes; RemovableMedia = yes; RandomAccess = no; } Both tape drives are mounted on Dell PowerEdge
2850s, running Red Hat Enterprise 3.x.
Both are running the same version of bacula (1.36). The drive mounted on the machine running director runs with
no problem. The other machine,
however, is giving me indigestion.
It will run one job, then mark the tape as ‘used’ and won’t
let me run another job on it. This
happens whether it’s run from the script, or run jobs individually from bconsole. Any ideas? Why would they be different? Is there something I should change in the
configuration file? Anne Racel Senior Software Engineer Emerging Business Solutions, Inc. |
