Hi there, i'm just in the beginning to try to set up a new storage system, which is intented to backup only on file storage devices. So, this server has a lot of disk space (2.4G), currently splitted to 8 partitions.
I once build a backup system with Legato NetWorker, so i'm still trying to find out how to make things with bacula like it was with networker ... One of these things is how to create job groups to group single jobs together and run them all at one command (manually or by schedule). Is such possible? Another problem is that i'm unable to manage how to set jobs up that they can save their data in more than just one (or two) storage devices. I thought that pools are intented to prevent such things like restricting a single job to a single device. My wish would be to have my 8 devices and a handfull of pools and jobdefs and define a client into a jobdef which has a number of devices it can use. After all, i'm not really sure if bacula is the best choice when building a backup system with file devices only, so any hints are appreciated... Regards, Frank -- Two of the most famous products of Berkeley are LSD and Unix. I don't think that this is a coincidence. -- Anonymous ------------------------------------------------------- SF email is sponsored by - The IT Product Guide Read honest & candid reviews on hundreds of IT Products from real users.
