Mr. Nick, you say "The "grabber" that was introduced in 11.04 was a much appreciated improvement for resizing windows in Ubuntu."
Nothing more false - who appreciate those terms "much appreciated" as true ? - which metrics you use here ? - on my linux community no one think in appreciative terms about that (but as a regression in usability) so let me be reserved about that "much". Btw, I don't use this "innovation" - I just drop "overlays" (I sudo apt-get remove overlay-scrollbar) so I am able to resize any window from every margin I want. 2011/10/6 nick rundy <nru...@hotmail.com>: > Have you tried using the lower-right corner to resize your window? > > Using the lower-right "grabber" you can resize the whole window, resize > just horizontally, or just vertically. When you want to resize window to the right (so you use right edge) > you need to "fight" the overlay scrollbar and it's pretty annoying. So then, scrollbar will be accessible on > the left side and right on the right side.
