Here's my third round of mockups based on some of the ideas floating around.
------------------ Particular ideas visualized: http://fav.me/d3h14ui <-- Global-menu has turned into Maximode-menu, it is only visible when a window is maximized, and it only shows the menus of the maximized window, NEVER any other. http://fav.me/d3h14i1 <-- Menu-toggle-button on the left side of a windows' titlebar. Pressing it will enable/disable menus for that particular application, and the application will memorize it upon closure. http://fav.me/d3h15jp <-- Right-clicking the Dash-button will bring up the Applications-list http://fav.me/d3h157l <-- Right-clicking the Home-button will bring up the Folders-list - Workspace-switcher has been moved to the bottom. Movable media-launchers have been separated from application-launchers. Folders- and Applications-lenses have been removed. - Not in the mockup: Dash has assimilated the search-abilities (left-click) of the Folders- and Applications-lenses in a sane way. ------------------ I could use this ^^
