Another gripe I have with this idea is that i'd love to see the sys-tray be shrunk down to its bare bones leaving more tray space for applications. This of course assumes that a single bar desktop is the future, ex. windows/chrome-os. Hence the unity mock up: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Ayatana/ProgressIndication. I find it much more intuitive to have two folders to which you can drag between, rather then having to copy (intermediary layer) and then paste. The context menu copy/paste functionality in itself already seems as more of an extension to this ability.
