It means Autoconf still has a long way before being released. We
can't release Autoconf without support from Automake.
I know I'm going to ask the kind of question maintainers don't like to
hear, so don't flame me, I'll just handle this by myself...
You guy, first you finish your duties, release the final
version of your manuscript, catch up your back log, and *then*
you may ask such embarrassing questions in public. Clean up
before your door first (or, alternatively, throw the first
stone to yourself).

What needs to be done in Automake so that it is releasable?
