Nope.  I'm proposing a backward-compatible change that warns about
behavior that's going to change in the future, and also accepts the
new behavior, so that people will have as long a time as possible to
adjust their scripts and habits.  I don't want to force people to
change everything at the moment they upgrade to the next release of
autoconf.
