But in fact, I gave myself an additional requirement for 2.50 (since
people seem to agree that's the way it should be named): I'd like it
to be DJGPP and EMX OS/2 compliant.
Most of the issues we wanted to cover are done. What remains for a
candidate:
- fix the portability problems of config.status
there are two or three reports yet :(
- swallow a few additional popular acspecific like macros
the most important one being AC_SYS_LARGEFILES.
- portability to not so Unix
- proof reading the documentation and enriching it (specially the
new sections on portability, and documenting AC_LANG_*,
AC_*_IFELSE).
- Updating NEWS
- ...?
I won't be here next week, so with some luck, we might see a first
snapshot in 2 or 3 weeks, IMNSPO *.
