Let's not add additional options to Autoconf that practically no-one
will use. In particular, a concise help output is most helpful for
newbies rather than experts who know what will work in the first
place. Since presenting only the supported options is valuable to a
newbie, and most configure users are newbies, improving the default
help output is most desireable.

Never forget that Autoconf is intended to be a way to pass off a
complicated build process from an expert, to (possibly) a newbie, who
expects to execute a simple 'configure' command, followed by 'make'
and 'make install'. It is our duty as package developers to do what
it takes to make the process as easy as possible, even if it takes
more work on our part.
