A workaround to this:
One way to detect and eliminate them is to create and then utilize
temporarily a special page style (or two is even better) using an
effective page width different from the one you'll be using in order to
force those locations containing any potential double or triple spaces
to somewhere NOT at the end of the line.

Has anybody experienced this persistent bug? When editing MS Word
(perhaps, even OOo docs?) docs that have double (or triple, etc.?)
spaces at the end of a line and at the beginning of the next line in
a paragraph, they do not appear as spaces when viewing them with OOo.
After viewing them in MS Word, however, these double spaces clearly
are visible at the ends of the lines when they appear in such
locations. Just why is this?

I can't add any words of wisdom, other than that I've also experienced
this, and it is definitely annoying.
