I can think of lots of songs by ARR in the past 5 years...only my opinion....
Tere Bina Jaage Aye Hairathe Aashiqui Khwaja Mere Khwaja Jashne Bahaar Marudhani Zindagi Muskura Man Mohiney More Ishq Ada (Female) Hawa Sun Hawa Kabhi Aditi Kahin To Jaane Tu Mere Kya Tha (male and female) Kaise Mujhe Rehna Tu Dil Gira Dafatan Maula Mere Maula Bhoola Tujhe Aaromale Sajana VTV Title Song Hosanna Kaadhal Anukal Namakame Ja Re Ud Ja Re that have the same brilliance and sweetness as you described that ARR had in the 1990s. Taimur, you come from such a biased perspective and buddy, a lot of people won't agree with you. Your opinion is not the truth. If you like the ARR of the 90s better than today....fine...that's your take....but that doesn't mean ARR of the 90s is better than ARR of today as a fact.... Nostalgia plays a big part too. --- In [email protected], Taimur Nadeem <taimur.nad...@...> wrote: > > hey Rawat, > Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â My point has always been that all the 90s and > early 2000s whatever A R RAHMAN has done is been ultra brilliant , midas > touch is what he used to possess , films got hit on just his music. whatever > genre ,whatever instrument , whatever raga he used , shined like a gold , the > tunes were all heavenly , the essence of songs goodness me . > > you pointed out urvashi urvashi , just see analyze that song , i mean just > look at the magic, could anyone thought that sarangi can be used for a > youthful song , the claps the jathis tabla , i mean the whole song is master > class , take ennavale O my GOD a divine song , every second is sweeter than > honey .does any song has such sweetness or brilliance now , the answer is > simply no . > > s > > > > --- On Sun, 8/15/10, V S Rawat <vsra...@...> wrote: > > From: V S Rawat <vsra...@...> > Subject: [arr] Members should understand that they can't like all genres > given by ARR > To: "arrf" <[email protected]> > Date: Sunday, August 15, 2010, 4:24 PM > > > > > > > > Â > > > > > > > > > > During 18 years of my following of ARR's works, I had started liking > > ARR not with Roja, but with Urvasi of Humse Hai Muqabla, even Gopala. > > > > But I got quite disappointed with Hindustani's Latka Jhatka, Duniya > > Dilwalo Ki's Hello Doctor, Dil Hi Dil Me's Maria, etc. Rangeela songs > > appeared so barren on first hearing, even chhaiya chhaiya first seen > > on TV ad was appearing so comedily funny like a bunch of monkeys > > jumping senselessly. > > > > They came in a short duration, so I generalized that ARR has changed > > and I had lost faith on him. > > > > But, then I again started liking his other albums, and even liked some > > of the songs in the above albums also.
