Very true. i was so impressed by the current indian music scene. awesome music. I believe they (SEL, Vishal Shekhar, Vishal Bharadwaj and the rest of them ) also need to be heard outside India and deserve a lot of recognition from the rest of the world.
I am sure AR Rahman has influenced them a lot to break the rules and try something new. 2009 and 2010 was such a great year for indian music lovers :) On Thu, Aug 12, 2010 at 9:07 PM, AJ <[email protected]> wrote: > > > Guys, > > There are some pretty good songs out there besides ARR in the bollywood > belt......listen to some of the tunes from Aashayein (Salim Suleiman), We > Are Family (SEL - some nice soft piano based ballads and a soothing theme > instrumental), Peepli Live (Indian Ocean...very folkish tunes), Lafangey > Parindey (Music by Anand but directed by Pradeep Sarkar....rock heavy > album).
