I do agree with you that the robo sounds are outdated and cheesy, but please try to not get hung up on the negatives and let those negatives block your overall listening experience and appreciation for what is brilliant in this album. I too got turned off by the outdated robo 80s sounds at first, but as I keep listening, I am finding more and more things about the album I like, esp. in 4 songs, and even the other 3 has some bright moments. I think Rahman has worked hard on this album and do not assume that he's lacking time. I think he puts his all into every project. I think it's very difficult to compose for a movie like this...keeping both Shankar and Rajinikant in mind, plus the robo factor! Apart from the robo sounds, I don't think anyone else could have composed better music for a film of this type.
Again, there are things in this album I like and things that I don't like. I am not letting the things I don't like ruin my enjoyment of things that I do like, and for me, the things that I like are outweighing the things I don't like. --- In [email protected], "sriramvr_in" <sriramvr...@...> wrote: > > definitely this is no where in the leagues of previous ARR-Rajini combos. > ARR's lack of time has shown again in this album. the songs related to robot > sounds amateurish and ARR would have just rushed through them!
