Chord, Ayudha Ezuthu was a major hit as a musical in the South. Khuda Afiz/Goodbye Nanba was essentially a 'Jazz' number by ARR (as mentioned by ARR himself) brilliantly mixed with Techno. If you leave out the high-pitch notes sung by the Male, you can identify the simple & neat Jazz tune of the song. There lies Rahman's genius. Another song where Rahman made a complete makeover is "Saathiya/ Pachai Nirame" from Saathiya. He mentioned that he was trying very hard to make the song a bit more fast paced & energetic. thus came up the high pitched ,beat filled "Saathiyaaaa../ Sakiyaeee" piece in the song. in fact he has said that this song had one of his hardest works put in :)
btw, there is no "final" verdict for any ARR composition :) On Tue, Jun 10, 2008 at 8:01 PM, Chord <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > How did this album eventually go down?
