Hi all, I had a couple of questions, please chime in if anybody knows.
1. Re: ATM - Couple of songs have been credited to Ujjaini. Is this the same Ujjaini from Saregampa Challenge 2005? Because, if it is then it's great to know that Rahman is tapping in the talent emerging from these competitions. I would love to see Rahman give opportunity to Mauli, Sumedha or Amanat from SRGMP C2007. 2. Re: Sivaji(Hindi) - Does anybody know who is doing the lyrics in Hindi? I seriously hope they rope in Javed Akthar sahab or Prasoon Joshi for lyrics. A lot of dubbed albums have suffered the fate of bad lyrics when translated. p.s. I have been hooked on ATM. The album keeps growing on me, all songs hold their own. Whoever has done the Remix of Ponmagal, has done a great job. But the tortoise of the album, which has slowly and steadily won the race of winning my heart is Kelamal Kaiyile. I didn't like this song in the beginning, I thought it was average, but wow, it was just my brain trying to understand what is going on in that song. It has some serious experimentation - with tamil song and subtle techo/trans beats. Only Rahman can think, create and deliver something like that. People talk about expectations from Rahman albums, having too high expectations etc.. Honestly I do not have any expectations of Rahman. I'm a devotee of Rahman, and take whatever he has to offer, as a boon. "All that is good and successful comes from God, all that is bad and failure is because of myself" - Rahman himself (I can't remember the exact phrase but it was to the same effect.) Always, Proud to be a Rahmaniac.
