hi rishnel,
i wanted to speak about this before, and now that uve asked let me tell
u.Ekla chalo is one of those few songs set in a 3/4 beat or what u may
call "rupaka taala" in carnatic music. This beat is usually used in
waltz numbers.Other examples of songs set to this beat are
butterfly(illayaraja) and chori chori jab nazrein milee(kareeb). It is
indeed a daunting task to set songs to such a beat structure and still
managing to sound unique and in Bose our man handles it with the
finesse we all love him for. Also note that the song Des ki mitti is
set in a 7/8 beat or misra chapu(in carnatic),and there are a number
of a r compositions in that beat.

any one with similar ir dissimilar views plz tell me.
