Thanks, Mark. It sounds like I could make RPi4 work, though I'd prefer an SD-based installation if that's possible. I'm wondering if there's a better choice than RPi4. If not, I'll go with that. 8GB isn't an issue for me, I can work with as little as 1GB.
Are there any SBCs other than RPi4 for which the default miniroot works without pre-hackery? Or do they all require the addition of customized dtb's? The install instructions suggest that there is some preexisting support in the miniroot for Allwinner and Rockchip 33xx SBCs - if so, which ones? Pine A64+? Rock64?
