Responsible for design, architecture, implementation/integration efforts, including data sourcing, transformation and reporting. Leverage knowledge of current data warehouse and software development methodologies to contribute to the overall planning of projects by recommending approaches, identifying resources, and developing timelines. Primary responsibility will be to extracts/transforms/loads (ETL) data from disparate sources to test and production databases along with maintaining/extending the various data models. Responsibilities will also include database administration for Oracle database. - Responsible for the development, maintenance and support of data extraction (ETL) processes from source systems to targets. Work with ETL tools, such as Syncsort. - Identifies data sources, assists in the design of dimensional data models and designs/develops processes that ensure data accuracy. - Develops code to summarize data and calculate metrics for dashboards and Business Intelligence applications. - Fluency with best practices for ETL design and development such as data profiling, data cleansing, change data capture, and performance optimization. - Ability to evaluate and implement solutions balancing reuse, extensibility, reliability and performance. - Develop, test, migrate, document, and maintain databases, applications, stored procedures, and associated reports. - Translate business needs into analytics/reporting requirements, and interface with stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of client reporting solutions. - Improve and streamline processes regarding data flow and data quality to improve data accuracy, viability and value. - Provide technical support for database creation, modification, testing, administration, monitoring, tuning, backup, and recovery. *Skills/Experience* - 5+ years hands on experience in programming in SQL and PL/SQL, using SQL developer, TOAD or similar program development applications. - Full Stack Experience in Oracle Exadata. - Proficiency in database design concepts and techniques for OLTP. - Advanced database development knowledge including performance tuning in Oracle and/or Big Data environments. - Strong extraction, transformation and loading (ETL) skills using Syncsort and PL/SQL. - Strong analytical and problem solving skills with ability to clearly articulate solution alternatives. - Experience in database reorganization procedures, scripted database alerts, and monitored scripts. - Experience in database server tuning, application tuning, maintaining documentation, and capacity planning and database security. - Reorganized databases and sized database objects to meet standards and improve performance 30%. - In-depth knowledge of data warehouse principles and related technologies - Experience with a variety of programming languages including but not limited to PL/SQL, JAVA, SAS, C # - Writing PL/SQL programs for accomplishing more complex queries or data modifications Non-technical skills. - Knowledge of data mapping and transformation processes. - Experience with performing data modeling and applying the modeling to IT solutions - Debit, Prepaid or Processing experience a plus. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED : - Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent - Professional development experience in data warehouse or data analytics.
