The ideal candidate is self organizing, detail oriented, has great communication skills, and also has experience using Java in a fast-paced internet/e-commerce environment. Responsibilities: - Work with leading platforms including Java, JSP, Node.JS, React.js, PHP, mySQL, PostgreSQL, JavaScript. - Work on legacy code base and contribute to improve the code over time. - Work closely with project management to estimate project scope and ensure features are completed and compliant in a timely manner. - Work with Quality Assurance to test functional product features and product compliance. - Work with Operations on deployment of new releases and application management. Qualifications: - BS in Computer Science or equivalent work experience. - 3-5 years of Java experience with an emphasis on MVC design pattern in a dot-com/web environment. - Proven ability with web development in multiple environments. - Experience in writing highly secure and scalable web applications. - Experience with Service Oriented Architecture, Software As A Service - Expert in HTML, CSS, JavaScript (specifically jQuery) - Knowledge of shell and other scripting languages. - Experience with HIPAA, PCI or other regulatory compliance is a plus.
