Also note that we have raised optional dependency on ffmpeg to 0.7 or newer since Beta 1. The release candidate will be publicly announced later today (August 1st). Amarok 2.6 RC works best with kdelibs >= 4.8.4, which should pull media- player-info package. For earlier kdelibs versions at least http://commits.kde.org/kdelibs/b16cfec44104ded4a8959af4e790fe2f7d6d2745 should be back-ported for all features of Amarok to work flawlessly.
