Hello,
I have installed the last alsa version 1.0.15 from sources yesterday with no
problems.
The 6ch works fine using the test:
speaker-test -Dplug:surround51 -c6 -twav
During the example I can use the alsamixer to change all values with no
problem... But
When I execute mplayer with some video or audio file, it sounds ok until I
try to change the volume (using alsamixer o keyboard-shortcut on app), from
this moment all sounds mute and even the speaker-test will not sound. To
solve this I close the mplayer, reopen the alsamixer and mute-unmute all the
4 channels and PCM sliders. After this I can play again mplayer or
speaker-test.
Some clue?
It is something very strange be unable to change the volume..
