Hello all, I consider to buy Terratec Aureon 5.1 PCI. Before I would like to verify if the card works with ALSA. The most important feature for me is AC3 passthrough via S/PDIF. Has anybody tested this card? If passthrough works, is it then possible to send 24-bit AC3 encoded stream even if the documentation says that the card is 16-bit? Can the sound device be configured so that it would encode 24-bit AC3 and send it via passthrough to the hardware?
